Aalok (Alok) believe’s location plays a very important role in our day-to-day life. The synergy of location, mobile, telecommunication, and internet is going to revolutionize the way we think, search, learn, and navigate. Aalok research researches on how mobile is going to bridge the gap between banked and unbanked population with remittance, banking and other mode of payments.
Prior to this was Director of Project (Mobile Payments) at SourceTrace Systems managing south east Asia’s ICT based mobile banking & payments technology. Also, experienced consultant in industry with enterprise infrastructure monitoring engineer. He has wrote World bank Report for Consulting Group Assisting Poor (CGAP) on micro-finance for using bank-led, mobile network operated (MNO), business correspondence (BC or Agent Model) & mobile technology for emerging countries.
Aalok’s expertise is in identifying customer need, market needs and tying them with technology to provide valuable solutions to customers. He has extensive research experience in mobile technologies such as Location-Based Services (LBS). He is a published expert paper on “LandMark based Context-Aware Mobile Application” a location-based applications, with a pending patent.
Aalok hold’s Master of Science degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University, a post-graduate degree in Computer Engineering, a diploma in Business Management and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Besides focusing on his education and career, he grew up in Mumbai, India, also known as the city of dreams and the city that never sleeps. This is the same city where “Slumdog Millionaire” was filmed and won 8 Oscar Awards. Mumbai is also the financial hub of India, similar to New York.
Though he consistently aim’s high, his aspiration for success keeps him motivated, updated and try to do new things. He believes failure strengthens aspire to achieve success.
